Née à Halifax, et originaire des collines de la Gatineau, Emily est une artiste en arts visuels et une enseignante experimentée. Elle possède un Baccalauréat en beaux-arts de l'université de Concordia à Montréal. Ses trois ans d'enseignement de dessin à un camp d'art estival pour la municipalité de Chelsea, Qc. l'a inspirée à travailler encore avec les jeunes. Elle es basé à Montréal depuis plus que 11 ans pour ses projets créatives, et a plein d'expérience artistique, éducative et communautaire. Elle a travaillée avec des gens de 3 ans à 93 ans dans plusieurs contextes et pays (É-U., Italie, France). Elle offre des cours d'art privés ici : Living ARTS Vivant. PRIVATE ART LESSONS
I offer courses in drawing and painting in all mediums, as well as collage, multimedia and textile dying. Lessons are tailored to your personal interest, level and goals. I do home visits, I offer lessons from my living room, and I can arrange outings. Weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or group lessons and courses are available. Ages 5 and up.

Available in the privacy of your own home or from my living room. Perfect for birthday parties, Pedagogical days, and well-deserved time off for parents. Ages 5 and up.

BIO
Born in Halifax, and raised in the Gatineau Hills, Emily is a visual artist experienced in teaching. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University in Montreal. Her three years of drawing instruction to kids at a summer art camp for the municipality of Chelsea, Qc. have inspired her to work further with children. She has been building her art practice in Montreal for over 11 years and has plenty of experience in art, education and community building. This summer I had the absolute pleasure and joy of working with Emily teaching children art at my farm and at a local municipal arts day camp. Her professionalism, commitment, and fun loving nature with children was both inspiring and wonderful to be around. I look forward to working with her more in the future, helping children to develop their artistic talents, experiencing the joy and empowerment that creating art can bring.

Emily knew how to adapt her approach to teaching according to my teen-aged daughter's abilities. Because she knew my daughter was serious about learning, she took a serious (but gentle, relaxed and fun) approach. She used mini-assignments with goals to teach various techniques while using different types of media. My daughter is now enrolled in a fine arts program in Cegep and will continue in fine arts at University.
I participated in one class myself and I found that Emily made helpful and astute suggestions as my daughter and I worked on portraits of each other. Emily is a wonderful influence on anyone, children or adults, who want to take art lessons from her. I continue to be fascinated and excited by Emily's own work.
